About ProductionHUB

We’re happy to introduce our latest sponsor, ProductionHUB (www.productionhub.com), an online marketplace for motion picture, broadcast TV, pro video, live event, corporate, and digital media production.  ProHUB connects media and entertainment professionals with those seeking industry products and services.  Since 1998, this vertical B2B has grown to become the world’s largest and most active production community search site, attracting more than 4 million searches annually.

Every day, people find and hire professional film, video, and digital media vendors on ProductionHUB.  You can search profiles and reels in hundreds of categories or use the Request Engine to get matched to freelancers or companies in your area.

More specifically, ProductionHUB’s services include:

Directory and Profiles:  Find (or be found) by thousands searching PHUB’s Directory Profiles each year.

Classifieds Center:  Sell and buy equipment from production professionals.

Video Center:  Show off your Demo Reels or browse through PHUB’s videos to find your next hire.

Events Calendar:  Promote your film festival or search through top industry trade shows and events.

Job Center:  Hire crew or get a new gig in the Job Center — whether it's freelance projects or full-time career opportunities.

Request Engine:  Let PHUB do the searching for you — simply make a production request in its Request Engine for relevant services, crew or equipment.

Celebrate National (818) Day w/VFF

It may not be a nationally recognized holiday (yet), however, tomorrow is August 18th, or, 8/18, aka (818) Day, and we've come up with a few ways to get you in the mood whether you live in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, Brazil's Paraiba Valley, Switzerland's Limmat Valley, or somewhere in the nooks & crannies connecting us all.

On August 18th (or, really, any day you feel like it...) please take 1, 2 or all 3 of these actions:

  • (1) - Give us a shout out on Twitter. Follow us at @ValleyFilmFest and use the hashtag #VFF12.
See what we did there? Clever, huh?

We totally appreciate your support & look forward to seeing you at VFF12, November 7-11 at Laemmle's NoHo7.

100 Days to VFF12

It’s hard to believe that we’re about 100 days away from our next edition on November 7-11.  We’ve got great things in the works, and a lot more to do.

With our submissions period now ended, we’ve received a bunch of films in various genres, and have begun evaluating them.  Our screening committee watches all films in their entirety, and votes on them for creative and technical ambition and accomplishment.  Once we make our final selections, we email all applicants with feedback.

We look forward to putting together a great program of films and other activities, including parties, panels, and presentations.  If there’s anything you’d especially like to see us do, let us know.  If you’re interested in volunteer or internship possibilities, send us a note:  valleyfilmfest@gmail.com

We aim to announce the program by end of August, and have tickets for sale online by end of September.

We’d like to welcome Production Hub as a new sponsor.

This year we’ll be at the Laemmle NoHo 7, a brand new, all digital, state of the art facility in North Hollywood.  Incidentally, while we’re 100 days out from the festival, it’s also the 100th anniversary of Universal Studios, located down the street from the Laemmle, which is named after the founder of Universal.  Small world!

Stay tuned for more announcements.
