How Well Does This Sum Up the Challenges Faced by Indie Filmmakers?

In a previous post, we mentioned the work of an MBA student who is researching independent film marketing and distribution.  Here is a graphic he created that encapsulates the challenges faced by independent filmmakers.  Or does it?  What do you think; where do you agree or disagree with it?  How have you, or others you know in independent film, managed to overcome these barriers?  (Click on the image for improved readability)

The VFF is accepting submissions for this year’s edition until mid-July.  From now until end of June the submissions fee is $75 per film (short or feature), then $100 for the final two weeks.  For more on submissions and the VFF generally, visit our website or Facebook page.
