North Hollywood, CA (November 21, 2013)
– The Valley Film Festival has completed its thirteenth annual season of
independent film from around the Valley and the world. On closing night, the festival presented juried and audience awards.
Along
with social events at JET Studios, the festival screened over forty films at
the Laemmle NoHo 7. These films were
entertaining and provocative documentaries, fiction films, animation,
experimental films, and music videos.
Nearly half were filmed in the San Fernando Valley, or had some other direct
connection to it. Eleven came from other
countries including Brazil, France, Russia, Morocco, and the United Arab
Emirates. Nine films were World or North
American premieres.
On
closing night, the festival presented the following awards:

Looking
ahead, The Valley Film Festival will begin accepting submissions for VFF14 in
January.
